I would like to take this opportunity to point out, that the federal education system has only been in place for the last 20 years.

It was meant to raise the bar in educational standards. It has failed miserably... over and over.

Was there public school before this? Yes. Do we need this kind of over sight on a federal level? No. It doesn't work and it is not necessary to send our money ( via taxes ) to them for them to divvy and send back! How ridiculous is that? They are ineffectual.

So remember that they have only been there for 20 yrs. that is not a long time! and also remember that they put there pants on one leg at a time just like you and me.

I am sure that after working in a government agency or being in office eventually they come to expect some deference. But this is a government By the people for the people. Not to the people at the people as I have said before. They are our SERVANTS. Public servants. They are there to be the voice of the masses. Wheather it goes against what they really want or not it is there duty to vote as we vote to represent us to the federal government.

Congress is much like a court room. have you ever gone to court? Traffic ticket maybe? The judge has never seen you before. They have a piece of paper with some numbers and words on it, they ask you some questions and they are short on time. They have only a snap shot of your life. A Polaroid from one part of a day in your life. They cannot know you.

If your congressman is not an effective communicator and does not properly represent your vote then vote them out!

Abolish schools? No. Disband an ineffectual federal department? Yes. In fact it is our duty.

Limited government branched into parts that each need the other and that each have different roles was not an accident it was by design I assure you. Teri

Gold Soars to Record High Breaking $1,262

Gold reached a new record high today on the New York Spot Market. Investors are flocking to the yellow metal as a safe-haven amid continuing concerns over the sovereign risk in Europe, historically low interest rates, and concern over the stability of paper currencies. The metal's "unique property as the ultimate safe-haven currency is making gold an attractive investment," said Bayram Dincer, a commodity analyst at LGT Capital Management in Pfaeffikon, Switzerland. "Gold's recent price move is a function of euro-zone debt worries. Investors are looking to substitute assets and currencies with gold."

 According to the Street.com "some analysts think that if gold can hold up and continue to settle higher during the summer that a violent move higher will follow".  Scott Redler, chief strategic officer for T3Live.com states, "That's when you're going to see the shorts throw in the towel...and that's when we'll get that $1,400, $1,500, $1,600 an ounce."*

The results of a people reading and obeying the Word of God were the explosion of faith, character, the first missionary movement in history, literature, economic blessing, and political and religious freedom.
The Pilgrims brought the 1599 Geneva Bible with them when they arrived in the New World in 1620. All but forgotten in our day, this version of the Bible was the most widely read and influential English Bible of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. A superb translation, it was the product of the best Protestant scholars of the day and became the Bible of choice for many of the greatest writers and thinkers of that time. Men such as William Shakespeare, John Bunyan, and John Milton used the Geneva Bible in their writings. William Bradford also cited the Geneva Bible in his famous book Of Plymouth Plantation.
The Geneva Bible is unique among all other Bibles. It was the first Bible to use chapters and numbered verses and became the most popular version of its time because of the extensive marginal notes. These more than 300,000 notes were included to explain and interpret the scriptures for the common people.
