Just One Sentence

Did you know that no state or local government can pass a law that is in opposition to federal law? So for instance if the bill of rights says:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Then it is illegal for example, for Chicago to pass a no hand gun law?

I mean, it is one sentence. The entire second amendment in the bill of rights is one sentence! So what is so confusing about it? Maybe it is the commas. Allow me to paraphrase:

Having a well organized militia is necessary to our freedom. We have the right to keep and bear arms and no one can ever take that from us.

I am not sure I can be more elaborate then that! It is very plain and simple. Do NOT allow any one to take your gun from you or tell you that you cannot have one!

Let me tell you a true story.

A town in Texas passed a no gun law, crime screamed out of control in a major way. They reversed the no gun law and made it illegal to be without a gun. A carry at all times law! Crime screeched to a halt and people were just darn right friendly all the time.

Huh, imagine that!

Scenario one: Only the criminals had the guns.
Scenario two: Everyone had a gun and they were all on equal footing. The criminals decided whatever it was was not worth dying for.

Recently in Chicago and elderly veteran protecting his wife and grandson shot a man to death. Very sad I know. They aren't even supposed to have guns!

As one of my all time favorite radio personalities would say: And Now! The Rest of the Story: (heheh I couldn't resist)

A well known creepy bad guy with around 12 yes 12 felonies under his belt attempted to break into the home of an elderly couple. The elderly couple had their young grandson visiting at the time.

The man was unable to gain entry into the home and proceeded to open fire on the occupants through the door for the home blowing shards of debris and door and shrapnel through the front room.

Grampa opens fire and puts the man down. Every one in the neighborhood is glad he was able to protect his family because it was no secret this guy was a bad news dude and they all saw him shooting up the front of the house but guess what! It is illegal to have a hand gun in the city of Chicago. Which remember is unconstitutional and even in this case goes against Illinois State law as well. So now what happen to Grampa?

One more story.

A group of college kids in a Georgia college town are having a birthday party near the college in not such a great part of town. 2 men with gun waving come in and separate the men and the women. Count there ammo and decide out loud in front of the men that they have enough. It is obvious that they plan to rape and murder everyone at the party. Thanks to one young man who came prepared! Knowing he was going into a  notoriously shady part of town he came prepared to defend his freedom should needs be. He pulled a hand gun out of hi back pack and fired at the man holding the men. Had a shoot out with the guy holding the women. The bad guy holding the women died in front of his place a block or two away and one girl was injured but expected to recover wonderfully glad to be alive.

The moral of the story?

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Stop over regulating us! We are not children. We have shown what we are made of time and time again. we are the same mothers and fathers and men, women and children that founded this nation. That fought so very hard for it and we are prepared to continue that fight! Are you afraid of us? Did you do something you should be afraid of? Don't tread on me!

God Bless America!
